Quality and Sustainability – Bold Choices, Extraordinary Results
Join us for an insightful session where you will meet three companies that have achieved remarkable results by making bold and strategic choices.
Enjoy drinks and sushi made with Kvarøy salmon, expertly prepared by the renowned chef Jonathan Romano.
Kvarøy Farming is an innovative salmon producer from northern Norway that chose a path less traveled—one that led them to the premium market in the United States. Their success was not accidental. It was built on a clear vision, strategic partnerships, and a willingness to take risks. As Kvarøy puts it:
“We’re on a journey to show the world what’s possible—with innovation, partnership, and the belief that the right thing to do today is what creates a better life for everyone tomorrow”.

A key partner in Kvarøy’s journey has been BioMar, collaborating closely to develop the patented Blue Feed. This innovation enabled Kvarøy’s fish to become the first to meet Whole Foods’ high standards 10 years ago. BioMar has played a crucial role in implementing this new feed model, utilizing a range of groundbreaking ingredients to enhance sustainability and quality.
Aker QRILL Company’s krill has been a part of Kvarøy’s Blue Feed from its inception. Aker QRILL Company has made significant investments in establishing a sustainable and responsible krill fishery in Antarctica. Achieving high sustainability and quality standards requires more than ambition—it demands vision, investment in innovation, and a steadfast commitment to science.
