NASF Aquaculture Feed Summit: Executives from the feed sector meet at a critical time for the world markets.

The 2nd edition of NASF Aquaculture Feed Summit comes at a critical time for the world markets, considering the ongoing war in Ukraine, combined with a severe inflation and major cost increases in feed input factors.

At the NASF Aquaculture Feed Summit, key producers, IFFO and krill suppliers will address and discuss these issues in-depth. The following speakers will contribute and share their insights in this session:

This "not-to-be missed-session" will be of much importance for the aquaculture industry worldwide!

Feed costs account for nearly half of the production cost in salmon farming, feed price is the most important cost driver. This again reflects the prices developments of the feed ingredients which are approximately two-thirds of the salmon feed prices. The war in Ukraine has also put strains on wheat and vegetable oils.

Also, the Ukraine war coincides with current all-time high fish oil prices, on top of two years with still strenuous covid-related logistics on a global scale. It seems clear that aquaculture farmers face a significant cost increase as aqua feed price are expected to stay at a record high level going forward.

The feed industry is facing unprecedented challenges and very volatile times ahead. We will hear how these major suppliers plan to manage risk going forward and their views of cost increases and price scenarios in uncertain market conditions. This not-to-be missed-session will be of much importance for the aquaculture industry worldwide.

The session ends with a panel debate, and our delegates are encouraged to take part in the discussion with questions and views.
